Evangelical Center for the study of Orthodox Christianity
Recent Lectures:
One of the initiatives of our center is the organization of three lectures per year that belong to three main series: the Engaging Eastern Orthodox Theology Series, the Dialogue Series, and the Patristic Series.
The Institute for the Study of Eastern Orthodox Christianity is an initiative of the First Greek Evangelical Church (Athens, Greece) and the City to City Balkans network, aiming at studying Eastern Orthodox theology in order to understand it beyond any stereotype and in an authentic way, and interact with it providing an evangelical perspective.

Initiatives:
Lectures
We are organizing several Lectures / Webinars under three main categories.
The Engaging Eastern Orthodox Theology Series:
These lectures will be given by Evangelical theologians and will cover topics related to Orthodox theology.
The Dialogue Series:
These lectures will be given by Orthodox theologians. Evangelical theologians will be invited to respond.
The Patristic Series:
As the patristic tradition is recognised to be the possession of the “catholic” church, in these lectures we will have non-orthodox scholars engaging with the work of the Fathers.
Panels
We are organizing online panels where Evangelical theologians from Eastern Orthodox Majority countries will discuss topics related to Orthodox theology, taking into account the specific context in which it is applied and is fleshed out.
Reviews / Short Papers
Our goal is to offer reviews from an evangelical perspective on important and contemporary books and texts written by Orthodox theologians. At the same time, we will post short papers written by our coworkers on issues of Orthodox theology.
Research
We are gathering a collection of books on Eastern Orthodox theology so researchers can have access to a bibliography that would be as complete as possible.
